Meet our expert “pizzaiolo”, Darius Aram, owner of Slice Street Pizza in Dripping Springs. With backgrounds in culinary arts and hospitality, Darius “The Pizza Man” has built a brand rooted in tradition with a flavor-forward twist. He lives for the crunch of a perfect crust, the burn of a Calabrian chili, and the smile that hits when someone takes their first bite of his pizza!
From the 48-hour cold-fermented dough made with non-GMO flour and real olive oil, to fancy chili peppers, Darius believes great pizza is a love letter to process and product. He’ll share secrets of how to make pliable thin yeast dough, kneading it to perfection to create flavorful crust. Then it’s your turn to mold, flavor with an array of seasonal toppings and place on the pizza peel into the wood-fired Mugnaini Pizza Oven. Learn tips for hosting a party at home whether you have a pizza oven or not! Can you smell the aroma of San Marzano tomatoes and see the bright color of basil?
