“Portugal on A Plate” with Sandie Ward
Saturday, February 8, 2025, 5:00pm to 8:30pm
Food is such a huge part of travel for me (that’s no excuse to eat Pasteis de nata EVERY day in Portugal although that’s what I did!).
Excited to share this special hands on cooking class from recent adventures.
Have you ever tried Portuguese cuisine? Like to learn to cook rich and flavourful food? We’ve got you….
BTW, anyone who says they don’t like sardines never had them fresh off the grill. Let’s give a little love to the humble sardine. Combined with a starter, fresh salad, large Grilled Prawns, crispy potatoes baked in muffin tins AND those famous custard tarts, you’ve got the makings of a humble, yet elegant meal bursting with flavor. Think of this more as an interactive dinner party at home rather than a cooking class! Better yet, we do all the clean up! Make new friends as you dine together, eating the fruits of your labor.
- Complimentary Welcome Sangria
- Creamy Pate de Azeitonas Verdes (Green Olive Dip)
- Tuna, Tomato, Onion, Caper Salad with fresh Oregano and Sherry Vinegar
- Grilled Prawns with Lemon and Piri Piri Sauce (you can’t avoid licking your fingers folks)
- Fresh Grilled Sardines with Charred Peppers ( I’d serve this to a sworn sardine-hater)
- Portuguese Smashed Potatoes with Gruyere Cheese (layers of happiness)
- Pasteis de Nata (Custard Tarts)
And remember, food-related gifts are most appreciated these days, especially when linked to an experience!
Deadline February 1, 2025
